Estella is a first-generation Latina college graduate, licensed Social Worker, and former nonprofit founder & leader with decades of experience supporting at-risk youth and adults navigating trauma. Estella brings a profound understanding of overcoming obstacles and adversity to her therapeutic work, informed by her extensive personal journey of healing and transformation. From the age of 21, she has dedicated herself to helping others by founding and leading a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving at-risk youth facing mental health and substance use challenges, family issues, and involvement in the juvenile justice system. As the Director for nearly a decade, Estella's influence has positively impacted countless lives and her community as a whole. Through her leadership, she has empowered individuals to break cycles of trauma, offering hope and support through programs that address both immediate needs and long-term healing. Estella's work continues to inspire transformation and resilience, grounded in her deep belief that adversity can be a powerful catalyst for change.
Estella's therapeutic approach integrates her professional expertise with her lived understanding of the healing journey. With a passion for helping others reclaim their lives, she brings a unique perspective to her clinical work with individuals and groups. Estella understands that true healing comes from addressing trauma at its roots, and her therapy is designed to help clients process their experiences and create lasting change.
Having walked her own path of healing, Estella brings authenticity and depth to her therapeutic work, using evidence-based modalities, clinical expertise, and compassionate support. Her practice focuses on helping individuals process trauma, regulate their nervous systems, and develop the emotional resources needed to thrive. Whether working with individuals or in group therapy settings, Estella creates a safe, therapeutic space where clients can explore their experiences, work through obstacles, and move toward healing. Her approach is integrative, addressing the mind-body connection and the emotional complexities of trauma recovery, and she is committed to supporting her clients as they reclaim their lives.
Estella's clinical expertise lies in trauma therapy and resilience building, with specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). She is dedicated to helping clients process traumatic memories, reconnect with their bodies, and navigate the complexities of emotional healing. Estella's therapeutic approach is grounded in the conviction that healing is possible, even when the path feels uncertain.
In her practice, Estella integrates EMDR to help clients reprocess traumatic memories, somatic therapy to address trauma held in the body, and Emotion-Focused Therapy to help clients understand and work through complex emotions. She creates a safe, therapeutic environment where individuals can process their experiences, regulate their nervous systems, and move forward with renewed strength and clarity. Outside of her clinical work, Estella enjoys spending time with her husband, Joshua, and their son, as well as sewing, traveling, and finding joy in life's meaningful moments.
